I can honestly say that if it weren’t for sisters and friends who genuinely care, I would’ve drowned in depression a long time ago.

thanksgiving blues
The holidays have officially begun and it still feels surreal without my mom here. Even if we try, nothing compares to her company and cooking. I miss the sweet smell of pancakes she wakes us up with, the jokes and games we’d play to get each other out of bed, the quality time we’d have as we prepare for dinner together and of course, the big feast to celebrate our day of fun...
Fatty tidbit of the day
2 of my coworkers have been fully committed to a weight watchers program and have been really successful. In about 2 months, one of them lost 50+ pounds another 30. With all my sugar cravings and nonstop snacking habits, I’m scared I may have to join them soon. Eeps!

I think I want to start retracing my family history. I know I have Chinese, Portugese, Spanish and obviously Filipino blood but I want to learn about the triumph and tragedy my ancestors were able to overcome.
