To Write Love on Her Arms: Behind The Scenes:... →
twloha:
Five. Four. Three. Two. One. The ball drops and fireworks. Resolutions are made. People scream and people kiss and is it possible to change? Is it really truly possible to leave the past behind? Welcome to Midnight. Another year comes to a close. Another year begins. With a moment…

Leave me alone, 2011… I'm in love with 2012 now.

Bring it on 2012!
Since we’re approaching the new year, I’d like to repost something I wrote (ironically exactly a year ago) about welcoming the newness:
Here comes another year, another season of hope and expectations, and another threshold of change. It’s kind of a ritual isn’t it? At the end of every year, we reminisce on the good, tuck away the bad and hope against hope that next year...

I like Your Flaws →
By Stephanie Georgopulos
I like how you mispronounce words sometimes, how you fumble and stammer and stutter looking for the right ones to say and the right ways to say them. I appreciate that you find language challenging, because it is, because everything manmade is challenging. Including man, including you.

Don't take this for granted →
Good article that stresses the importance of everyday life. It’s another reminder to make the most of who and what makes you happy, especially their presence in your life.
I encourage you to read the whole article (it’s short) but here are the lines I liked:

I want someone who cares
I dont want that half ass shit from people, I want the real thing. I want someone I know I can trust and rely on. Someone who can be there for me at any time of the day, whether its 3pm or 3am, they’ll be there to comfort me or just talk to me. Someone who I know regardless of anything they wont judge me or make assumptions about me. Someone who can genuinely care for me.
But who can say what’s best? That’s why you need to grab whatever chance you...

when death comes like a thief in the night
You know that cliche that goes “be kind to everyone you meet, because you never know if that moment could your/their last”? Well it just came true. A family friend, whom I consider to be my uncle, mentor, musician, comedic relief and overall inspiration, suddenly passed away yesterday. He was a fairly healthy individual but just like that, he’s gone. GONE!
Within our community of friends...

iamblessed:
This is the thing: When you hit 28 or 30, everything begins to divide. You can see very clearly two kinds of people. On one side, people who have used their 20s to learn and grow, to find … themselves and their dreams, people who know what works and what doesn’t, who have pushed through to…
