series of unfortunate events
Everyone knows I’m the queen of clumsy, but I’ve had a string of mishaps lately, I could really use lady luck to be on my side. Or any sort of good news for that matter. Just to get these off my system and to vent a little, let me clue you in on the craziness. In the past few weeks, I have:
passed out and fainted (in the middle of a restaurant/bar of all places!) They called 911...

Asia's most sinful cities →
followandreblog:
Seven deadly sins — seven lively Asian cities. We all stray off the path of righteousness from time to time.
So if you’re going to end up in hell due to a temptation to eat more than your fair share of stinky tofu, take a detour to Taipei first. Or if pride’s your vice, take a turn toward Manila.
These Asian cities take a sin and turn it into a raison d’être.

I realized that I’m so concentrated on making the “right decision”, that I’m taking the fun out of living too. What’s wrong with being non-conventional? Live and learn, right? I mean, people living their passions do so because they did what feels right, not what’s supposed to be right. Right?!
Two years ago, I was afraid of wanting anything. I figured wanting would lead to...

Oh geez, you know you need a vacation when you almost (thank God for the “almost”) get into an argument with your boss. So, anyone want to go on a trip with me??? You know you wanna!!!

500
According to the tumblr count, this will be my 500th post so I thought I'd commemorate the occasion by posting quotes from one of my favorite movies, 500 days of summer.
Partygoer: So Tom, what is it that you do?
Tom: I uh, I write greeting cards.
Summer: Tom could be a really great architect if he wanted to be.
Partygoer: That's unusual, I mean, what made you go from one to the other?
Tom: I guess I just figured, why make something disposable like a building when you can make something that last forever, like a greeting card.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
McKenzie: I'm running out of ways to say "Congratulations". So far, I've got: "Congrats", "Good job" and "Well done".
Tom: Hmmm. How about..."Every day you make me proud. But today you get a card."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tom: Well this is, and Rhoda, no disrespect, but um, this is total shit. Go for it? You can do it? That's not inspirational that's suicidal! If pickles goes for it right there that's a dead cat. Lies, were liars think about it, why do people buy these things? It's not because they wanna say how they feel, people buy cards cause they can't say how they feel or they're afraid too. We provide the service that lets them off the hook. You know what? I say to hell with it. Lets level with America at least let them speak for themselves right I mean look, look. What is this, what does this say? "Congratulations on your new baby." How bout "congratulations on your new baby, guess that's it for hanging out, nice knowing ya." How bout this one? With all the pretty hearts on the front, I think I know where this ones going. Yup "Happy Valentines Day sweetheart, I love you." Isn't that sweet? Ain't love grand? This is exactly what I'm talking about. What does that even mean, love? Do you know? Do you? Anybody? If somebody gave me this card Mr. Vance, I'd eat it. It's these cards, and the movies and the pop songs, they're to blame for all the lies and the heartache, everything. We're responsible. I'M responsible. I think we do a bad thing here. People should be able to say how they feel, how they really feel, not ya know, some words that some stranger put in their mouth.

Not that they entirely relate to me but I saw 500 and thought of this movie. If you've seen it, you'll know what I mean. Besides, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a cutie.
Prayers needed
feyezme:
My husband’s coworker’s daughter is turning 2 next week and is fighting cancer(stage 3). Please pray for her and all the other kids who are fighting this epidemic. Her name is Julianna P. With the sufferings we go through, though difficult, it is to glorify God and His everlasting love. With Him, anything is possible. Thank you.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been repeatedly mulling over a few life changing decisions. They all sounded sane and inviting to begin with, but after talking and researching about it so much I think I drove myself into an overwhelming cloud of confusion that makes me...
You know what makes my day go by?
Reading old emails and chats from my super friends. Their craziness keeps me warm and fuzzy =)
I wish I was one of those people who had their whole game plan figured out (and followed through) from age 6, but what’s the fun in that. As exciting and messy as everything seems, I’m also thankful I’m not one of those willing to settle at what’s convenient. There is a whole lot more beauty in life beyond conformity.
