random-people:
There are places in the world where you just naturally feel at home. You arrive there, you have never been there before, but bam, you’re home. You feel like you belong, like you are connected to everything and everyone, like you can do everything. You arrive at this place, you look around and you…
I’d like to have that feeling, wherever home is.
Peace is not the answer. Peace is the way.

– My favorite grade school teacher (who I used to beat up in class) found me on facebook and had this posted on her wall. Such a blessing that she still remembers me after all these years.

You deserve great friends
“Friends accept you for who you are. They don’t try to change you according to their preferences.
Friends help you become a better person. They bring out the best in you,
Friends don’t judge you.
Friends always want what’s best for you not what they can get from you,
Friends rejoice in your victories and weep with you in your pain.
Friends stand by you in times of need. They don’t...
My happy thought for today :)
“Amidst the trials, losses and pain, there is still a lot of good to live for. Wake up every morning and declare the good things that you have. The good things that God has put in me. The good things that are going for me. While it is true that I have problems, trials, pressures and reasons to be stressed, it is no less true that there is just as much reason to rejoice.”

Gratitude. The ability to be grateful for what you do have instead of thinking constantly about what you don’t have.
There is always someone who doing better, who is prettier, thinner, smarter, wealthier and it’s very easy to get caught up in a train of thought that creates self doubt. But there is also someone who is not as smart, not as attractive. If a 20 year old could actually...
Pep talk to self :)
Once in a while we are faced with harsh realities that ground us back to contentment and simplicity. As much as we want the most of the world, we only receive what we need when we need it. After all, life isn’t a competition. It’s not about measuring who we are by what the world thinks of us. It’s more about finding our own truths and building strength from that. Believe, become, be...

homesick without a home
I’ve been feeling homesick with a painful yearning for nostalgia, but I’m not even sure where “home” really is. Actually, I don’t even know what or whom I’m missing. All I know is, I have a really fervent feeling of being incomplete.
It feels as if everyone and everything that keeps me grounded is quickly drifting away. Every time I try to hang on to something familiar, my arm gets slapped...
Refreshed
After such a long hiatus from running, it felt so good to be out again. I know, shame on me for being such a slacker and it’s about time I get back to the groove of a regular daily work out. Morning yoga, evening jogs and weekend distance runs….here I come! Hope I get to add some hikes or swims in there too.
