“The worst thing one can do is not to try, to be aware of what one wants and not give in to it, to spend years in silent hurt wondering if something could have materialized - never knowing.”—Jim Rohn (via kari-shma)
“Take risks! That is really what life is about. We must pursue our own happiness. Nobody has ever lived our lives; ther are no guidelines. Trust your instincts. Accept nothing but the best. But then also look for it carefully. Don’t allow it to slip between your fingers. Sometimes, good things come to us in a such a quiet fashion. And nothing comes complete. It is what we make of whatever we encounter that determines the outcome. What we choose to see, what we choose to save. And what we choose to remember. Never foget that all the love in your life is there, inside you, always.”—Linda Olsson (via kari-shma)
I’m talking about your job, your relationship, buying a car. It’s whatever. Your gut tells you something. When you tune into it and have the confidence to trust it, it’s your own psychic power. You will learn that nine times out of ten, if not even more, you are right. You may have to withstand a little adversity in the middle of it but your gut instinct is right.
I don’t mean that in a conceited way but damn, if you only knew how much I’ve been going through these past few months you would feel the same way. It’s such a relief to let go and move on toward some positive changes.
I love life and trust in God more than ever! Cheers to the best of what’s yet to come :)
Someone very soon will care about you in a way that is distinct from their own needs and will want to show you that when they are given the chance. Someone will be interested in what you care about just because they care about and are interested in you. You will find someone who likes to talk to you because they think you are funny and interesting and they want your perspective, not to punish or check up on you. You deserve to be able to clearly communicate what you want and you deserve to have those wants understood and appreciated. Someday you will find a person whose actions speak for themselves and you won’t have to bullsh-t anybody.
Thanks so much guys!!! It’s pretty crazy how it all worked out. It totally wasn’t what I was expecting, but it’s a great opportunity regardless.
You’re right Roe! I like how yesterdays readings were about how God answers our prayers. I like the part of the reflection that said "To see what God is doing and to receive everything that he wants to give us, we have to first get rid of our expectations. We find our miracles when we expect the unexpected"
I’m praying for all of your happy stories too! Champagne is on me!
This is a very long story cut short but the gist is: I started out the month worried about being laid off, but somehow I’m ending the month with a small bonus, raise and promotion and am being relocated to a branch so much closer to home.
So glad I never gave up on hope =) I’m not giving up on chasing adventure either, but for now, I figure I should take advantage of this opportunity served on a silver platter for me.
“You closed your eyes. That was the difference. Sometimes you cannot believe what you see, you have to believe what you feel. And if you are ever going to have other people trust you, you must feel that you can trust them, too — even when you’re in the dark. Even when you’re falling.”—“Tuesdays with Morrie” by Mitch Albom (via julie911)
“I believe that suffering is part of the narrative, and that nothing really good gets built when everything’s easy. I believe that loss and emptiness and confusion often give way to new fullness and wisdom.”—Shauna Niequist, Bittersweet (via thresca)
“Don’t be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.”—Dale Carnegie (via kari-shma)
